Great crib for newborns I purchased this co-sleeper because I was terrified of having my newborn in bed with me and also terrified to put the baby in his crib in his bedroom. This was the perfect compromise. I was able to have piece of mind knowing he was safe in the co-sleeper and still being so close to me in the early days. Perfect for our needs We love our Arm's Reach Mini Co-Sleeper. We actually ended up just using it as a regular bassinet, despite it's co-sleeper capabilities. It is small enough for living in an apartment, yet big enough for our baby. It folds up into a super portable size, so we take it on the go with us on visits to the grandparents. the best purchase I made for my baby and us When I first brought my son home from the hospital, we had no idea what to do. I was nervous to let him out of my sight, let alone let him sleep 20 feet (which felt like miles) away in his nursery. We initially had planned to have him sleep in his pack and play, which had a bassinet, but it seemed like any time we put him it that he'd wake immediately and cry. Also, I couldn't see him. We tried sleeping with him in the bed with us, but that was just nerve wracking. My husband and I were so worried of rolling over on him, or him suffocating, that neither of us slept well. A friend of mine, who has one of these, suggested this, and I bought it immediately. It was like a miracle. This little co-sleeper attaches to your bed, so it can't move away, it has three sides, so you can see your baby at all times, and you can touch him/her if they or you need comforting. Our son slept really well in his co-sleeper. We added an extra blanket under him for extra cushioning, too. I could also attach his SleepSheep to the side. It also makes night time nursing incredibly easy! You don't even need to get out of bed, you just bring them over, and when they're done you scoot them back! Our son slept in our room with us until he was 6 months old. After that, he was strong enough, and could roll over and support his own head really well, and I felt much more comfortable letting him sleep in his crib. Though, the specifications say that when they can pull themselves to their knees that is the time to move them from the ARMCS. We used this also as a portable crib for a while, it travels beautifully, as it is SO much lighter than a traditional pack and play, and takes up much less room. So, I say, this is the one product no parent should ever EVER do without. I love ours, and I suggest it to everyone. If I could afford it, I'd buy one for every friend who is a new parent. Great after csection When y husband went back to work after y c section I was worried about being able to lift my 10 pound daughter. We found this co-sleeper and it fit perfectly where the nightstand used to sit. I was able to roll her from the sleeper onto the mattress with me to take care of her while my husband was at work. Best For Breastfeeding Mommas I love this co-sleeper! It made the first few weeks of postpartum breastfeeding a lot easier. Ahhh the memories This was by our bed for the first 4 months. It made my life sooo much easier since I was nursing DD. I could just pull her right into bed with me, doze off a little then put her back. I felt so much more rested having this, opposed to getting up tromping down the dark hall with my son.
