Versatile I received my Ergo as a shower gift 4 years ago. It was the best gift, hands down! I have used it for front carry, side and back, all feeling safe and secure. My 4-year old still enjoys the occasional 'piggyback' on long walks. We are now carrying our infant son. Just like his brother, he loves to snuggle close when sleepy, but likes a back ride to check out his surroundings. I have been able to nurse and carry too! Dad enjoys {and even asks} to carry the babe! This carrier is durable and comfortable. It has been dragged through the mud and washed several times and still looks and functions like new!!! The Best This is THE carrier for if you want a carrier that can be hooked on, not like a sling or wrap, its very convenient and provides the best support for your back and babies spine of any structured carrier. LOVE THE ERGO I could not live without the Ergo! It is the BEST baby carrier for my son. My daughter did not like it and we played around with a bunch of other carriers. She really wanted to face out and liked the Ergo if it was in hip carry position but my back could not do that. My son still loves it and I use it daily! It is the best for bad backs. SAVED my back and shoulders! I use this constantly! My 3rd baby was almost 10lbs at birth and he did a number on my back and tailbone in later pregnancy and birth. I tried several other carriers but could never keep them on long - they either cut into my shoulders or killed my middle back. This carrier is WONDERFUL and sits like a hiking pack, so the weight is evenly distributed on your hips. The price scared me at first, but it's worth every penny! Posted on 9/14/11 by Kelsi

Excellent Carrier After my first child I tried every carrier I could find and so many of them were too bulky or didn't feel supportive to me or my baby. Three kids later, I only use two carriers...a pocket for newborns and an Ergo for 6 months and up! The only downside to these carriers is that there is a learning curve to putting them on (you'll need help at first) and that babies love to suck on the straps (you can pay extra for suck pads to protect them). My favorite SSC! I bought an Ergo carrier after doing, much much research to find the perfect carrier for us. I didn't take me long to get the straps adjusted perfectly and wearing our daughter in it was fabulous! Shortly after I got my Ergo I won a Boba in a contest. I ended up selling my Ergo figuring I could use the Boba...that didn't work out. I ended up buying another Ergo because the Boba was too long and too wide for my small frame (100lbs and 5'2''). It was just too bulky-everything from the width of the straps that dug into the back of my arms when I wore it on my back to the length that made me waddle because it sat too low on my hips to the excess straps I tried to roll (and roll and roll) up because they were so long. Slipping the Ergo back on it was like wearing my favorite sweater! Even at almost two I wear my daughter in it regularly! We own our own biz, where I am 4 days a week for 12 hours a day. There have been several occasions over almost two months we've been open were I've slipped the Ergo on and went on about my business comfortably. The ergo is the best carrier I've used. I really, really like the ergo carrier. By distributing weight to the hips and shoulders, I can wear it for a long time without being sore later. It's really comfortable in the front, side, and back positions and is user-friendly. Don't waste your time w/ Infantino carriers!! Get an Ergo :-) We bought our Ergo with Barefoot Kids/The Green Nursery after wearing it in the store for a half hour to see if it was really better than the infantino carrier we had received as a baby shower gift. My baby daughter fell asleep in it after a short while, it was so comfy for her. I felt comfortable, the Ergo spreads the baby's weight so much better than other carriers I've tried. Both my husband (6ft, 200+ lbs) and I (5ft 7in, not telling) can wear our babies in it, and both our 2.5 year old and our 7month old still fit and enjoy riding along. It does take some practice to get used to doing back carries by yourself, but I find that my 7 month old has learned that he gets to ride w/ mommy and to sit still until I get the carrier in place. I love the sleeping hood, too. The only drawback I see is the fact that the child can lean way out away from you if they want to, which can throw the parent off-balance considerably. Great! We recently purchased the Ergo after trying out a friends. The front carry is very comfortable for me. I cannot seem to get it adjusted correctly for back carry but my husband has no problems.
