So Easy to Use Our daughter is two and a half months now, and the Flips have worked great for us so far. We have had only one blowout. About 2/3 of the time, the runny breastfed poop does get the inside of the cover dirty, so that requires changing the cover as well as the insert. However, with only 2 or 3 of these poopy diapers a day, I don't think it's a problem. I have eight covers, and that's plenty for two or three days of use. I use the stay-dry inserts and have not had a problem with smell or diaper rash. Up to this point, one insert has been plenty for her to go 8 hours at night with no leaks. The diaper is trim enough that it doesn't seem that it would be a problem to add an extra insert at night when it comes to that. My husband likes how easy these diapers are to use, and I like being able to use prefolds in the cover as well as the Flip inserts. I also like being able to customize the day pack and get the cover colors I want. I think the Flips are a great value! Posted on 5/18/12 by Erin

Pretty good system I like the Flip, don't love it. I use these for going out, as it is nice to have less bulk than a bunch of pocket diapers. I like BG colors a lot and the flaps to tuck the insert into are handy. I have had a couple of poopy leaks in these, which is a bummer. The PUL is a bit thin. My daughter seems to be sensitive to the suede cloth on the inserts (same for the BG 4.0), and the micro holds stink. So I wish I would have gotten the organic inserts. Not Our Fave, But Excellent Value I recently purchased 3 Flip covers and organic inserts after a recommendation that these were amazing night-time diapers. They are super absorbent, and with one bamboo insert tucked in, they do hold for 12+ hours overnight on our 17 mos. old. However, I find them to be awfully bulky width-wise in the crotch for my son. We had better luck with our Elementals for fit that way (and even better luck with our daytime diapers, Bottombumpers). Great price for the quality! Just not a good fit for our son. Great value, but choose your inserts carefully... We use the Flip system almost exclusively for our little one. Overall we are thrilled with the system, some parts more than others. The covers--I don't know what I would do without my Flip covers! We have had only good experiences with them. They fit our little guy beautifully, and we have essentially no blowouts. We like them so much that we even use them while traveling, when most would use disposables. The organic inserts--worth the extra money. They are super-absorbent and easy on our little one's skin. We get very few rashes. They stay-dry inserts--These, I admit, I was not impressed with. We started out our stash with half organic inserts and half the stay-dry. We wanted to see if he would get rashes more easily with the stay-dry, as some reviews have said, and didn't want to go with that for the whole stash. That turned out not to be an issue, however, the stay-dry inserts are fitteds, and we have not had good luck with them because of it. They tend to bunch up inside the cover, leading to, at best, a really gross cover and baby bum to clean up, and at worst, a blow-out. These are WONDERFUL! I love the Flip cover and organic insert combo! The flip covers have provided a great fit on both my kids even though they have about 20lbs and 2 years between them. The organic inserts are very soft and absorbent.. When our son was a heavy wetter these are one of the only inserts that held him. I love how the inserts get tri-folded into the cover, no messing with trying to figure out how to try to wrap/fold a prefold. The inserts are also very trim and fit well in many other diapers (covers, pockets, etc.) The covers have held up well the year we've had them. This is a great value! Posted on 2/22/11 by Jamie O.

Great starter product for a tight budget! Shortly before our daughter was born (in September 2010), we decided that we wanted to cloth diaper. We were on a very tight budget, but built a small stash of Flips between gifts and saving. We have used these diapers since October, and have been exclusively cloth diapering since December 2010. These diapers are great to fit a budget. They fit well, adjust easily, and can fit nearly every age and shape up to potty-training. They are very comfortable on our little girl and she often preferred these to disposable diapers early on - she'd fuss if we put her ina disposable, but with these, she was just fine when we changed her diaper. Our only issue is related more to our daughter than to the product itself - she is a very good eater, therefore she goes through many diapers. Nearly every diaper change is dirty and quite messy, therefore it is not often that we can dry and re-use a cover - they most often have to be washed at each change. Had I known this would be the case, I probably would have saved a bit longer and purchased BumGenius 4.0s at the begninning. Our first fluff buy! This was our first fluff buy! I did a lot of research and came across Flips and daypack was a great deal. It took a lot of convincing for DH to agree to CD, but he finally agreed to try these. Now over a year later flips are still his favorite. These are a great first diaper, they are super easy!
