Perfect for carrying new babies! This insert makes the Ergo so nice for new babies! I have used this since my baby was 2 weeks old and she actually gets excited when I put her in it because she knows she is going to be carried around :) Yes its something that you don't need for very long, but it keeps your baby safe and gets them used to being carried at a young age. A life saver! This newborn insert was a life saver when our son was first born. He wanted to be held all of the time and would cry when we put him down. We purchased the newborn insert for our Ergo baby carrier. It was amazing! We were able to strap our son on and get things done while still being close to care for him. A lot of the time he would fall asleep in the carrier. We would then transfer him to his crib and let him get some good sleep. Not for our little one I wish ERGO had an organic option for the infant insert. Also, I think 25 is a little much for a product you aren't going to use for long. However, it is nice to have the option to purchase it to use the ERGO system. Our son wasn't a fan of being placed in the insert, but preferred being in the Moby wrap. Seems Hot I bought this so I could use my Ergo with my baby when she was less than 2 weeks old. I think it is a good product, I feel like she is safe and secure in it, and it makes the Ergo usable when she is still so tiny. My only complaint is that when I take her out of it, she is very hot and red, even though I only have her dressed in a onesie. It is only spring now, and I am afraid in summer she will overheat being bundled up in the thick infant insert. Other than that, I have no complaints about this product. Posted on 6/15/10 by Anne
