Lives up to the hype After reading up on soft structured carriers I was torn between the Ergo and another carrier. I'm very happy with the Ergo and feel it lives up to all the positive reviews. Best Carrier Ever! I have used many carriers and slings with both of my children. After seeing it on television, I had to get one too! It is so much easier on my back carrying the baby on the back instead of on the front. I had really intense back labor with both of my pregnancies and other carriers hurt my back so much. I don't go anywhere without it If I was deserted on an island and had to pick only one piece of baby gear, I would take the Ergo, hands down. We've been using it with our almost two year old since he was 4 months old. I still use it on a daily basis. It makes getting chores done around the house so much easier! When we are out, I put him in the ergo instead of in the cart while shopping and people are always commenting on how content he looks. We are also avid hikers and wear him while hiking and snowshoeing. Very comfortable for both my husband and myself. I can't say enough nice things about this carrier! Posted on 3/1/11 by Brookes

I am in love with the idea of the Ergo This was one of the few items that we put on our registry. My experience with it has been mixed. It was tough to learn to use the infant insert but one we achieved that my son is quite happy in it. It works BEAUTIFULLY for my husband and the baby sleeps so soundly while we are out which is nice. My "problems" were 2 fold. 1 - my baby was a c-birth and so for weeks I couldn't use it because the main support belt landed on my surgery site. I hated waiting to use it! The other problem is that I am short (about 5'2) and the Ergo is so big that I feel like a little old lady trying to peer over my steering wheel. I can use it but it isn't as comfy as I was hoping. My son will soon be old enough to lose the infant insert so I expect that will help and of course when he goes on my back that will help too. Enjoy it! Posted on 7/29/10 by Mollie

Can't live without it. It's the best carrier ever ! I really like my ergo, my daughter has trouble napping but as soon as I put her in this carrier on my back and close up the hood she calms down and falls asleep in a few minutes. It's also very comfortable to carry her for long times, the longest was 2 1/2 hours and my back felt fine. Great also to carry her in the front and if I have to nurse her I just loosen the straps a bit that she sits lower and I can even keep walking and she is happy. Posted on 5/17/10 by Tonia

hubbies carrier we got this carrier in hopes that hubby and i could both baby wear when we go hiking this summer. hubby has since taken this over and is very willing to carry DD in it. she's 28-29lbs and he says he barely feels her back there , unless she's being pesky, as 2 year olds tend to be. she loves being carried when she's tired and this keeps our hips from getting tired. DS seems to like chewing/sucking on the straps. he seems to be able to slouch sizeways in the carrier and seems off balance on me, especially on my back. but it's a keeper as it fits DH well and he's the one that carries DD anyway. he doesn't get any of the rubbing under the arms that i get, but i guess that's because his shoulders are wider than mine are. like i said, we want to carriers, one for each child and this fits the build for his carrier and he really likes it. I LOVE OUR ERGO We bought the Organic Blue with Embroidery and we love it! I just started using it as back-carry and my 7 month-old loves it! I was able to finish all my chores with her on my back. She even fell asleep. The only negative thing I can say about Ergo is the infant insert. I used the old style infant insert and found that my baby didn't look comfortable in it. couldn't live without it We love the Ergo! When our daughter was 2 weeks old she was diagnosed with hip dysplasia and we where told we couldn't carry her in a sling. We used the Ergo with the infant insert from that day on. We use it everyday.....it's so easy to throw on and it's really comfortable on my back if she's in it for a while.
