Diaper

Pros

Cons

Best Bottom ALL THE PROS
Pocket Diapers Fast Drying Have to Stuff
All In One Diapers Easy to Use/Trim Longer Drying Time
Fitted Diapers Very Absorbent Bulky
Prefold Diapers Inexpensive Bulky and Have to Fold

Best Bottom Diapers are so easy to use!! First adjust the front snaps for the rise to get the right size for your baby. (You do not need to unsnap the rise snaps when washing. Just adjust them once and your are good to go until your baby grows!) Then snap in the insert, put the diaper on your baby and go! When you need to change your baby, just snap out the soiled insert and snap in a clean one. Because the inside of the Best Bottom shell is wipe-able, it can be used over and over before washing. You may want to air-dry between uses but that may not always be necessary. Because you can reuse the Best Bottom shell, you won't need to buy as many. With pocket diapers, all in one diapers and fitted diapers, you will need to change the whole diaper every time! When it is time to wash your Best Bottom Diapers, you will only be washing inserts and a few shells - this takes up much less space!

Therefore, you will save money by using Best Bottom Diapers! If you buy 8 shells/$16.95 each & 24 inserts in 3 sizes/$3.95 each, it will cost you $420 to diaper your baby from birth through potty training! That is so much cheaper than disposables and also cheaper than other cloth diaper systems! You can have convenience, reliability and save money too!

The Best Bottom shell fits from birth to 35+ pounds. There are leg gussets to help keep the messes in, an adjustable rise with four settings, and overlapping closure in both snap and hook & loop. When putting the diaper on your baby, check to be sure the insert is completely in the shell - just pull the leg gussets out around your baby's legs. Best Bottom also has Extender Tabs available in both snap and hook & loop. Extender Tabs allows you to save even more money by extending the size limit of the Best Bottom Shell. They are sold in pairs and coordinating Best Bottom colors (see below).

You will probably need 8-10 Best Bottom shells and 18-24 inserts per size. Why sized inserts? Newborns and toddlers certainly are not the same size so any insert that fits both will be bulky and ill-fitting on a newborn and may not be adequate for a toddler. By having 3 sizes to choose from, you will have a diaper that fits well and is very absorbent at every age! You may not need all 3 sizes of inserts - all babies are different.

We love these!! Review by Kylie

These are the first cloth diapers we ordered to use on our 11 month old. Im completely new to cloth diapering and I wanted something that would be a good fit for my fiance and I. He was not crazy about cloth diapering at all and I figured the reusable covers and snap in inserts would fit our needs and be daddy friendly. We both love them! I choose the stay dry inserts in large and he has wet threw only once in our trial and error stage. They hold well and are so easy to use. (Posted on 10/3/2016)
My favorite cloth diapers, seriously the Best. Review by Mervine

I absolutely love Best Bottom cloth diapers. They are easy to use, they come in cute designs, and they offer hemp and bamboo inserts; which are both really great. I recommend going for a bigger package if you plan of cloth diapering full time so you can save money. But if you already have a set stash or want to see what these diapers are all about, the small package is great. Also, my child has had a few blow out and the Best Bottom diapers have done a really great job managing them. This is my favorite brand of cloth diapers. (Posted on 4/24/2016)

So far so good! We love cloth diapering and absolutely love that these can be reused a few times with a new snap in insert. They come in adorable designs and the gussets really help keep everything exactly where it should be! (Posted on 11/28/2015)

This system is super easy to use! The inserts absorb well and keep the diaper trim. We have yet to have any leaks even with runny breastfed poops! This is easier to use than pockets and I feel like it gets cleaner in the wash.
Perfect for us and highly recommend!!

Not very absorbent Review by Katja

I have to use two hemp/organic cotton inserts for our son, else he leaks right through them. I had hoped they would be more absorbent. (Posted on 10/23/2015)
Good Quality, Clean Well Review by Marie

The cover is good quality, but not stretchy like Flip covers which makes it difficult sometimes when snapping in a chubby baby like mine. They didn't fit my baby as a newborn, but once she got around 8 lbs I had no problem. The double gusset contains the mess well. I like using the stay dry inserts, they are very absorbent, soak up all of the poop, and clean well. The hemp insert is ok for pees, but doesn't contain liquid poops very well. Overall I really like these diapers. (Posted on 10/18/2015)
GREAT! Review by KARLA

My son is 9 month old and I just started cloth diapering a week ago and with working full time I needed a cloth diaper that was simple to use, that saved time and similar do disposable. After doing a lot of research I finally decided to give best bottoms cloth diaper system a try and I must say i really like it. Along with the small bundle I bought an additional 5 liners because the covers you can use up to three times ea so since my son is older I though having three covers is enough for a day. I came to the conclusion that I need more covers because sometimes when he poops, the liner doesn’t catch it all, so poops gets in the inside of the gussets. Also one of the things I Love about the inserts it when I’m changing him I notice that the bottom of the insert it completely wet but the top part of the liner is dry! I change him every 3 hrs because he pees a lot the most I’ve left him w/the same CD is 4 hrs and he didn’t pee through it. For night time I use disposables because I have yet to but the overnight inserts, but two days ago I started using the CD at night, just instead of using one insert I use 2, and my son pees a lot and he does fine he doesn’t pee through it and I don’t change his diaper over the night. Over all I like them my husband like them and so does my mom since she’s the one who watches him during the day. (Posted on 8/12/2015)
LOVE Best Bottoms! Review by Tanya

Best Bottoms comprise over half our stash. We love them! The shells have double gussets at the legs, and the inserts are great because they snap in. We like the hemp inserts, but we do sometimes opt for the microfiber and doublers for at night. These are some of our very favorite diapers! (Posted on 7/16/2015)
Really wanted to like these diapers Review by Veronica

I like the convenience of being able to reuse the shell if my baby just pees, but these are my least liked diapers in our stash. After three months of use the shells (though not the inserts) have a very funky smell. I've tried everything from sun, calgon, baking soda, and vinegar with no luck. Drying them in the sun is what seems to work best, but I can still smell the funk. Perhaps it's the material? None of my other brands of shells do this. I will not be investing any more money into these and will use only as back up until I can grow my stash some more. (Posted on 5/25/2015)

I love the quality of these covers, and that they have double leg gussets - great for those heavy wetters (like mine). The snap in inserts work well, but I'm not crazy about the sized system. There's less flexibility than I like. The trade off is that they're very trim. (Posted on 5/2/2015)

Love that these diapers wash and dry quickly. They are a versatile system that grows with baby. The hemp/cotton inserts are the right thickness and are soft against baby's bottom. They are of superior quality and should hold up for quite a while. They take up much less storage room and I love that most covers can be reused between changes. (Posted on 3/11/2015)

This was my first venture outside the world of pocket diapers, and they have not disappointed. The fit is a bit trimmer, which is nice for certain outfits, and the system itself is great for traveling. The gussets help keep everything inside the diaper, and the snap-in inserts are wonderfully absorbent. Highly recommend! (Posted on 10/28/2014)

This diapering system works best for my husband and I. So far there haven't been any issues at all and the slimmer fit works well for my baby girl even with her chunky thighs. These diapers are fast, easy, and convenient. The plastic sides are soft and she seems comfortable in them. (Posted on 10/16/2014)

Very easy and versatile system. I love how few pieces there are to carry around when I'm out on a day trip; it helps keep the wet bag from getting too full (versus my other diapers which are pockets). Cute patterns too! (Posted on 10/6/2014)
