With an updated stay-dry inner fabric that stretches to provide a secure fit and a redesigned pocket that is more trim across the back, the bumGenius Original 5.0 also includes the same patented features that make bumGenius so genius! Adjustable sizing, snap closures and two inserts for customized absorbency make this a diaper for all needs: day or night, light or heavy wetters, small or big babies.
I love the fit I can get on a Bum Genius diaper. The stretchy tabs are just wonderful. The prints are fabulous overall. It comes with two microfiber inserts: a newborn and a regular. The regular microfiber insert does snap down which is helpful for stuffing. It simplifies the stuffing process. There is no stay dry material on either insert, so it cannot be placed on baby's skin. I would like this diaper much more if it came with a different insert. I don't like microfiber. I can't use it anymore for my kiddo. He is sitting up independently, and will get compression leaks. Also the pocket is a covered pocket at the back of the diaper. The downside of this design is that when I spray the diaper at the top, water pools in this little flap and stretches out the elastics. But this is probably my favorite pocket diaper because of the great fit and prints. I just use a different insert.

Stretchier for a better fit, the 5.0 are our favorites. The microfiber inserts are just okay, we had leaks occasionally until we switched to cotton bamboo flats at night. The microfiber was good up until 6 months and he started sleeping through the night. They just don't hold as much liquid. The snaps are awesome for a customized fit.

I bought a few different brands of pocket diapers when I started cloth diapering 2 years ago. This diaper, in my opinion, works well. I've had leaks with every brand cloth diaper I use, including this one. It doesn't always leak though. I have thirsties, bumgenius, and rumparooz pocket diapers, and feel that bumgenius works just as well as the rest. It lays flat instead of bunching up like thirsties which makes it easy to stuff. I feel like there's plenty of room to put extra inserts in. Both of my babies are comfortable in them as well.

5.0s are my go to daytime diaper, pretty much my whole stash. I've had a few issues with holes developing around the rise snaps but bumgenius has been great to work with their warranty

I have these & the 4.0's in my stash & I can't really notice a difference between them, but I honestly like them both. The fit is trim, the liner feels dry when my insert is soaked, the quality is great, and they hold up really well. These are really good diapers & I highly recommend them.

I love these diapers in general but because we use best bottom during the day, we typically only use the BG 5.0 at night. I double up both inserts and it works wonders. No leaks, the inside layer is soft and it keeps my little man dry at night. Other diapers tend to wake him up when he feels the wettness. This is a great buy especially because it already comes with inserts, no need to buy the shell and inserts seperately.

I've got two littles one is potty training and the other new to it all. I've used these diapers for both. The ones I originally purchased are still great 2+ yrs later and I haven't used anything else.

I just washed and am trying this diaper on my daughter for the first time and I have to say, I loove the way it fits around her legs. It is also less bulky in comparison to other brands, such as Rumparooz; which helps with the fit of outfits. One downside is the liners are very thin. Will definitely purchase more. I hate I didn't try these first because they are less expensive.

We had been using cotton prefolds for our son since birth (he is now 2.5) but after dealing with reoccurring rash issues (yes we striped and all kinds of things to try to resolve the issue) we decided to try switching to these pockets diapers after watching some YouTube reviews where they tested a bunch of diapers for their ability to wick moisture away from the skin. While we have had a few very minor and short lived rashes since switching to the 5.0s a few months ago we have not had the horrible weeks long bleeding rashes we were dealing with before.
These are on the pricy side but we figure that we had been switching to disposable recently when rashes showed up so for the price of one pack of those diapers we could get two of the bumgenius diapers we can use on our son and on future children. I have become a big fan! Also I love having snaps as the covers as the prefolds we were using were Velcro and no matter how diligent we were about folding the Velcro onto itself we always had some come loose in the wash and get stuck to other things.
I highly recommend them!

I love BumGenius and they're all we use! My stash was entirely 4.0's until I purchased two of these. Right off the bat I noticed the lining is a lot softer than the 4.0's, and the inserts are much easier to stuff because they go in much more smoothly. Two thumbs up!

My stash consist mostly of the 4.0s but I did buy a couple of the 5.0s. I absolutely love these diapers! I never have leaks. They wash up really well. They are easy to use and I love the snaps. I'm new to cloth diapering and I was nervous about these diapers but I made the right decision getting these!
