Original Moby Wrap

Be comfortable

The design of the Moby Wrap uses your entire back, as well as your shoulders, to carry the weight of your baby. Unlike other carriers, which have narrow straps or go across one shoulder, the Moby Wrap is a wide piece of fabric that is wrapped over both shoulders. It is amazingly comfortable and easy to wear. There are no buckles, snaps or other fasteners. It is easy to adjust the fit of your Moby Wrap by varying how tightly you wrap yourself and your baby.

Be secure

The Moby Wrap comes with an easy to follow instructional guide and this web site with the latest news, tips and techniques. With the single stretch cotton and the width of the Moby Wrap, your baby is wrapped close and tight, ensuring a secure hold. Your baby s head can also be secured under the stretchy cotton fabric for added safety. You can finally have both hands free and know your baby is safe and secure.

Be uniquely close to your baby

There is not a lot of extra material or bulky padding between you and your baby. Your baby can hear your heartbeat and finds comfort in the warmth of your body, and sound of your heartbeat within the cuddly confines of the Moby Wrap.

Preemie to 35 lbs.

The Moby Wrap is an optimal baby carrier for premature infants. Preemies are often prescribed to practice "kangaroo care" and this skin-to-skin practice used to increase birth weight can be easily achieved while wearing the Moby Wrap. The Moby Wrap is long enough to adapt to your growing baby. The fabric can hold up to 45 lbs, and most people feel comfortable carrying up to 35 lbs.

Soothes fussy babies

It is amazing how quickly a baby will settle down once wrapped in the Moby Wrap. Experts like Dr. Sears, stress the importance of holding your baby often and close. The Moby Wrap allows you to do this with ease. The style of the wrap insures your baby is uniquely close, while providing ultimate comfort and support. No more aching backs or tired arms! Now your baby can be kept close and happy for as long as he or she desires.

Versatile

There are many ways to wear your Moby Wrap. You can wear your baby facing you, facing the world, sideways or on your back. When not being used as a carrier, the Moby can be used as blanket, pillow or anything else that comes to mind.

Machine washable

The Moby Wrap is easy to clean. You can machine wash your Moby in cold water and tumble dry low. Slight shrinkage after washing may occur. Once you start wearing your Moby again, it will stretch out.

Gateway to babywearing Review by Carissa

The perfect wrap for new babywearers. This will help you fall in love with wrapping your baby. Comfy, stretchy, and fairly easy to learn to use. I liked having a Moby when my babies were newborns. The big downsides are less options than woven for carries, and doesn't work well as baby gets bigger. I think I quit using mine by the time my babies were about 2-3 months because of the stretch. Must-have for newborn Review by April

Takes a few tries to learn to wear this comfortably and safely for your little one. I call it "baby origami." However, once you get the hang of it, it's a great way to wear baby. It's calming and comfortable. I personally can't imagine using moby with a bigger baby, but it's possible. Now that my baby is 11lbs and 2 mid old, we've moved into a structured carrier. Time and space consuming Review by Mia's Mom

While this wrap works, it takes a long time to put on and put baby in (5-10 min). My other carriers take about 3 minutes max. It also takes up a lot of space in my diaper bag. I don't really like it. Besides that, the material is thick and keeps baby secure. Overall, not really happy with purchase. (Posted on 12/16/2015)
Great when they're little or cold Review by Autumn

I loved this when my little one was 0-3 months. It took a bit of getting used to the steps to wrap it, and if I didn't prepare ahead it was difficult to do once getting to a destination.

I have a black wrap, so if we were out in the sun on a hot day it got to be a little too toasty.

I will say, I had a little one who spit up regularly and that was a downside: if he spit up on the moby, unwrapping it while holding baby and trying to contain the yuck was a challenge. But it was very comfy. I ended up using a soft carrier more after a while.

Love, Love, Love my Moby! It works so well for little babes. I love the closeness and snuggles it provides. We did find that once the babes hit about 15lbs it started to stretch out quickly. (Posted on 10/27/2015)
Love this for Winter Time! Review by Katherine

I love my Moby wrap for winter-time baby-wearing. In the summer here in GA, it's too hot for any wrap-style carrier in my opinion, but once it cools down I pull out the Moby! I love that I can get a perfect fit with it, and so can my husband! Once I learned to wrap correctly, it became one of my favorite carriers. (Posted on 8/28/2015)

I really like this to wrap for newborns up till about 12 to 15 pounds. The babies love it especially when they're a newborn because they can curl right up to you and that's the only place they want to be. When they start getting a little bit bigger around 3 to 4 months and around 12 to 15 pounds you will probably want to use a non-stretchy wrap for more support so it doesn't hurt your back. But up until that point this crap is amazing! (Posted on 5/31/2015)
Good Wrap Review by Julie

I have a Moby and a Boba. Mobys aren't stretchy like a Boba, which causes an issue with my kid because from day 1 he hated being swaddled and in material that didn't allow him to move. He sometimes has issues with Boba, so I will be buying an Ergo soon. All in all though, Moby is great quality and I would use it if my kid liked it! (Posted on 4/27/2015)

This is a decent stretchy wrap, it does what it is supposed to do. Newborns especially love it. I do not because it is so thick and hot. It works fine, but you might get toasted! (Posted on 1/18/2015)

Baby is so much happier, and it is so much easier to get things done around the house with the moby. I ordered it in Indigo, which is beautiful, just not exactly what it looked like in the picture. I intend to possibly dip dye it again anyway. (Posted on 10/13/2014)
Great for small babies (around the house) Review by Gloria

We used this when both of our children were very small. They loved being so close! However, it did get pretty hot (because it was summertime). It is quite long so I didn't feel comfortable using it out of the house because I didn't want the ends to drop on the ground and get dirty. (Posted on 9/3/2014)

I loved using this during the newborn stage while at home. I could never figure out how to wrap it without the ends hitting the ground (during the initial process) so I never used it while out and about. (Posted on 8/21/2014)

Great for newborns! Review by D.J.

We used a moby wrap with my son from being just a week or two old until about 5 or 6 months. It takes a little bit of practice to get it figured out, but after that it is very easy to use and quite comfortable. I do prefer my soft structured carrier for when baby is in and out a lot, but the Moby is definitely a better fit for newborns. The only downside that I found was that after a while, I had to re-tie it all because it would get stretched out and baby would get loose in it. (Posted on 4/5/2014)

Extremely comfortable, distributes the weight very well. Baby does need good head control though. It is supposed to be able to carry twins too, but I haven't ventured to try with my two! Nice for snuggling with your baby. (Posted on 3/23/2014)
Perfect for Newborns. Review by Summer

I have several different baby carriers. I found that the Moby Wrap is perfect for newborns or smaller infants. It's soft and has a comfortable fit while completely supportive of your little bundle of joy. It also allows closeness with your baby which a major plus. Learning the correct and safe way to get the warping down took a minute, but was worth it. I would definitely use it for my next baby as well. (Posted on 3/16/2014)

I used the Moby wrap from just after my daughter was born until she was about 6 months old. It was perfect when she was so little, since she fit snuggly with her little legs up and slept very well in the wrap. I used it mainly for going on walks and doing chores and errands. I never got very good at wrapping it, but it worked for us anyway. Once she was 5 or 6 months old, I switched to the Ergo. (Posted on 3/13/2014)

We used this with my daughter all the time when she was born. She would nap for hours in the Moby while I was still able to get things done around the house. The only thing I didn't like was if I took it out places, it was a pain to put on in the parking lot without dragging the ends everywhere. I ended up getting a Baby k'Tan for outings.
