Your child will love this teether! Popular hand-crafted teething giraffe is made from all natural rubber and food-based paints and dyes make this a safe choice for teething babies. Sophie's long legs can reach back to those cutting molars, while other teethers are only suitable for front teeth. Made in France!
Sophie the Giraffe, full of discoveries and activities to awaken baby's senses! Sight: The dark and contrasting spots all over Sophie the Giraffe's body provide visual stimulation and make her easily recognizable to baby. She soon becomes a familiar and reassuring objet. Hearing: Her squeaker keeps baby amused, stimulates his hearings, and helps him to understand the link between cause and effect. Taste: Sophie the Giraffe is very flexible and has lots of parts for baby to chew (ears, horns, legs). She is perfect for soothing baby's sore gums when teething and is completely safe. Made of 100% natural rubber and food paint. Touch: Sophie the Giraffe is perfect for baby's small hands. She is very light and her long legs and neck are easy for baby to grip. She is very soft to touch, just like baby's mummy, stimulating soothing physiological and emotional responses. Smell: The singular scent of natural rubber (from Hevea tree) makes Sophie the Giraffe very special and easy for your child to identify amid all his other toys.

Ok. I know what you're thinking. Twenty five bucks for a teething toy? I didn't get the hype at first. But then someone bought it for my baby shower so I didn't worry about feeling bad if baby girl wouldn't like it. Fast forward to having an early teething 3 month old. She fell in love with Sophie, which means we did too! Sophie now goes everywhere with us and LO is 8 mo! It's perfect for little hands, smells great and is made with natural materials. Don't be freaked out by the mold scare. A- why would you ever need to cut the toy open? B- it's not a bath toy so shouldn't be getting wet. And C- LO would be hard pressed to get drool in the tiny hole that makes this toy squeak.

I found that wellness mama online recommends Sophie the giraffe, and I really trust her opinions because she's all natural. So I had to get one too. My LO loves it, it's so fun. In my church other babies have it too, it's really popular! I just wish the paint on the feet were sharper and not faded.

My now 2.5 year old loved his Sophie! It was one of the first toys he could hold and play with and he loved to gnaw on her face and legs. I loved that she was made of natural materials and so I didn't have to worry about nasty chemicals leaching out while he had her in his mouth.
The only draw back is that she would get pretty dirty with so much playing and it's very hard to wash the dirt off with out getting some water sucked inside. We found though that if you put the toy into a bag of rice for a few days after a wash the moisture would dry out and we didn't have to worry about mold forming.
We are expecting a second baby in a few months and our Sophie still has a lot of life left in her for our next kido!
I know it's on the pricy side but you get what you pay for a lot of the time and I can vouch that this is a top of the line well made toy and worth every penny!

Although I find Sophie to be a bit pricey for a teether, I'm willing to pay a bit more for food grade paint and rubber since its sole purpose is to be chewed on. I recommend looking for a sale at TGN before purchasing:)

I don't know why my little one wasn't so interested in this baby toy. Especially since it seems like so many others' kiddos love it. He seemed to prefer little toys that chimed or rattled. I do like that it's easy to secure a toy leash around one of the giraffe's legs, though. It's worth a shot if someone gifts it to you or if you think it's the cutest thing ever :-)

My daughter didn't the Sophie, and my husband, already weary of the price, said it looked like it could grow mold in it and didn't let me use it for our second child. I thought the squeak (which I didn't even know it did when I ordered) was too loud.

I think this toy is on the pricey side but my baby sure does love it and therefore it is worth the money. It is our go to as far as a soft teething toy that I don't need to worry if he is choking on it and I can give it to him in the car. He still loves it and is over one year.

My 2 month old baby loves Sophie. I wasn't going to get her, thinking it was some baby fad. But even though my kid is too young for teething, he has chewed on her an mostly just stares at her intently.

I don't know what it is about Sophie, but she is magic. Even just the squeaker will calm a fussy baby down in minutes. The paint is natural, so it does come off, but my son loves her anyway.

As a newborn, my little was not as interested, but as she has gotten a bit older, she is obsessed with Sophie. It made a happy baby during a cross country flight, and that made the rest of the plane happy!! This is now my go-to gift for my new mom friends.

Sophie how I love you! You brought that stubborn tooth right on through the first day you came to us. Your squeak makes a screaming baby hush in wide eyed questioning.
Okay. Seriously we love Sophie. She does all that and the older boys want to play with her too because she is so cute. A little expensive, but I think she's worth it. I mean that tooth was a white lump under my baby's gums for weeks. He popped Sophie's leg in his mouth and chew, chew, chewed and it came right on through!!

My son received Sophie as a gift. I would have never spent $22 on a teething toy personally but it is my son's favorite drool and squeak toy and I do see the value in it. Seeing how well it works and how fun it is, I would probably purchase in the future if I needed to, or as a gift. It's a great little toy.

I haven't met a baby that didn't like Sophie! Great for them to chew on to relieve sore gums, a fun squeak for them to play with and perfect size for them to hold on to and work on hand eye coordination. A little pricey but will last for more than one kiddo.

I put a Sophie on my son's Christmas list back when all of the scary lead recalls kept popping up. He wasn't immediately in love, but he mouthed everything so I loved the peace of mind of natural rubber and food-grade paint! He grew to love her-especially once he figured out how to squeak her. He'd laugh and laugh at her squeak (also very helpful for getting/keeping their attention for photographs!). My daughter has loved Sophie from day one. We give them out to friends and family with new babies. Sophie may end up in a shadowbox once the kids are done playing with her. I'm not sure we'll be able to give her up!
