The Baby Fair 2014
February 24, 2014 8:30:00 AM EST
Whether you’re planning on having a baby in the near future, are currently pregnant, or already have a whole brood of littles running around, if you’re going to be in the Bloomington area this weekend, you won’t want to miss this upcoming event! The Baby Fair will be held Sunday, March 2, from 1 pm-4 pm at the Bloomington Convention Center.
This event is FREE to the public, AND the first 300 families will get a reusable swag bag full of baby related products and coupons, so you may want to show up early. There will also be some great door prizes, one of which that was donated by The Green Nursery!
The Baby Fair brings together great information and resources to help guide parents from pregnancy through preschool. There will be over 40 exhibitors with booths providing parents with information such as birth services, health and wellness, cloth diapering, babywearing, breastfeeding support, preschools and education, family fun and so much more.
Of course, TGN will be there, so be sure to stop by and say hi! They're changing things up a little bit this year with a more interactive booth. Got questions or looking for more information about cloth diapers? They will be available to talk with you one on one and provide demonstrations. TGN will also have a new toddler-preschool play area set up to entertain your little one. Plus they’ll be handing out in-store coupons, so you definitely won’t want to miss out on those!
Be sure to check Bloomington Area Birth Services website for more infomation, which includes a detailed schedule of events and a list of all the exhibitors. Throughout the day, there will be live demonstrations and educational seminars. While this event is full of great information for parents, it is also full of FUN for kids.
Scheduled events include: Story time with popular characters from PBS Kids, Fire Safety with Monroe County fire fighter, babwearing demonstrations, live music with Kid Kazooey, a magic show, Dancing for Birth demonstration, Car Seat Safety, Breastfeeding Q & A, and a Healthy Pregnancy seminar. There will also be free events taking place all day long, such as car seat safety checks, face painting, henna painting, pregnant belly painting, and a toddler bouncy house.
