Bloomington families! Are you expecting or have an infant through preschool aged child? If so, here's an event you won't want to miss. The Baby Fair 2015 will provide families with valuable information and resources to help guide you from pregnancy through preschool. It's essentially your "one stop shop" for everything baby!

The Baby Fair is presented by Bloomington Area Birth Services and will be held on Sunday March 8th from 1 pm-4 pm at the Bloomington Convention Center. This event is FREE to the public, AND the first 300 families will get a reusable swag bag full of baby related products and coupons! There will also be four fabulous door prizes baskets: Pregnant Mama, Breastfeeding Mama, Green Family, and Busy Toddler. Thanks to over 40 contributors, the baskets will include diaper bags, a breastpump, nursing pillow, nursing bra, organic body products, cloth diapers, baby wraps, massages, toys, tickets to the Indianapolis Children's Museum, and much more!

There will be over 60 exhibitors with booths providing parents with information such as birth services, health and wellness, cloth diapering, babywearing, breastfeeding support, preschools and education, family fun, and more. There will also a be preschool activities and educational seminars throughout the day. A lactation station will be provided for moms to relax and nurse during the event. There will be lactation consultants on hand to help, if needed, and answer any questions. Be sure to check Bloomington Area Birth Services website for more information, which includes a detailed schedule of events and a list of all the exhibitors.

While this event is full of great information for parents, it is also full of fun for kids! Indiana University School of Optometry’s Pediatric Vision Clinic and Visual Development Lab is sponsoring a number of activities, including a bouncy house for the little ones and free henna painting for hands and pregnant bellies, and The Green Nursery is excited to be sponsoring the entertainment stage! Here is a tentative schedule of events taking place on the stage (be sure to check out BABS website for an updated schedule of events, should there be a change):

1:30pm – Infant Massage & Tummy Time with Melissa Larimer of Flora Massage and Wellness Services and Molly McDonald of Body, Mind, and Molly

2:15pm – Breastfeeding Q & A with Ann Marie Neeley, IBCLC, BABS

3:00pm – Green Cleaning with Shelia Evans from IU Health

*The Green Cleaning seminar will be making some of their own cleaning products.
