Fall is...BabyLegs Season
October 6, 2013 8:53:15 PM EDT
It’s fall, ya’ll. Gone are the days of heading outside in just a diaper for your little one. Especially in the mornings, the air is starting to feel quite crisp in our neck of the woods. Not only did running around without clothes during the hot summer months help keep baby cool, it also made it very convenient when it came to diaper changes! But wait, we don’t have to switch to pants just yet! There is a quite fashionable solution: BabyLegs!
BabyLegs are adorable leg warmers for your little one. Just add them to a onesie or t shirt for an instant outfit! Family and friends are so used to seeing my little guy in just a diaper that it confuses them when they see him actually dressed! They look at him and say, “hmm…something looks…different….oh yeah! He’s got clothes on!” Of cou rse, he wears clothes (most of the time) whenever we go in town.
I love color coordinating a pair of BabyLegs with his diaper and t shirt to make complete outfit. They not only look adorable, they also make diaper changes on the go a heck of a lot easier than dealing with pulling pants on and off! Anything that makes life easier and looks cute while doing it, I am all for!
They come in four different varieties:
• Original BabyLegs add warmth and style to any outfit. They grow with baby, allowing them to continue using them well into the preschool years and beyond! There are many different colors and prints to choose from! From stripes, to flowers, to trucks… whatever your baby is into (or you think is cute) there’s a good chance you’ll be able to find it on a pair of BabyLegs!
• BabyNoBugs are perfect for babies who are too young for bug spray, or a chemical free alternative for kiddos of any age. They are made with Insect Shield technology to help keep mosquitos, ticks, and other disease causing bugs at bay. The makers of BabyLegs even say the protection lasts through 70 washings!
• Baby Cool UV offers SPF 50 protection whether they are wet or dry! They are made of a mesh material to help keep baby from getting too hot, while helping to avoid getting too much of the sun’s rays.
• Newborn BabyLegs are just like the orginal BabyLegs, only smaller! Not all babies come into the world looking like chunky monkeys… some look more like skinny minnies. These warmers are perfect for new baby’s tiny legs until they grow a little longer and get a little more pleasantly plump.
Using BabyLegs also helps save some cash. I can stretch my kids’ summer wardrobes by pairing BabyLegs with some of their warmer weather pieces. Another cool thing about them is they aren’t just for legs! We add them to short sleeve t-shirts for that layered look. If the weather starts to warm up or we go indoors, we just pull ‘em off!
BabyLegs look adorable both on girls and boys. I have seen some very stylish youngsters pair them with dresses, skirts, and shorts. Layers are all the rage these days! I tried to get a picture of my six year old in her jean skirt and a pair of BabyLegs, but she ran away like I was the paparazzi… “No pictures please!” Trust me, she looked totally cute!
With Halloween coming up, now is the perfect time to stock up! Around here it’s usually pretty cool out for Trick-or-Treating, and some costumes can leave the kiddos skin bare and exposed. You can use BabyLegs to cover both their arms and legs, and with all the different colors and styles to choose from, it shouldn’t be hard to find ones that match their costumes! They even have some spooktactular (like what I did there? haha) seasonal styles which are perfect for Halloween!
Although Fall is the perfect time of year to break out these nifty warmers, we use ours all year long. Whether were camping out in our front yard on a cooler summer evening, bundling up in our snowsuits to brave the winter cold and build a snowman, or standing in line outside TGN come springtime, waiting for staff to open the doors for The Great Cloth Diaper Change, we always find a use for our BabyLegs whenever, wherever, no matter what the season!
But since it IS Fall, I leave you with this:

After losing her job as a doctor’s nurse (while on maternity leave) for standing up for her rights to pump at work, she went back to her previous job as a Labor and Delivery nurse. While she was so happy to be back in a job she loved, the newest member of her family could not tolerate being separated from her. He refused to take a bottle no matter what she and her husband tried, and screamed the entire time she was away. She realized as much as her family needed that extra money, her baby needed her more.
