This Sunday is Mother's Day, a day to spoil that special mama in your life! I don't know about you, but I know a lot of moms who tend to forget to do a little something nice for themselves every once in a while. (Slowly raises hand.) I'm know I'm guilty of this... especially when it comes to treating myself. Most times, when I come across something I'd love to have, I find myself thinking things like:

"Do I really need this?"

"I probably shouldn't spend the money..."

"I should wait."

Then I put it on my wish list and that's where it stays. I could always spend that money on something more important. Put a little extra towards a bill or... oh look, something cute for the kids! ;) I'm sure there are a lot of moms of babies and/or little kids out there who are the same way.

If this sounds like a new or expectant mom that you know, here are some wonderful gifts she'll surely love, but is probably too shy to ask for...

mother's day gift ideas

Lifefactory Water Bottles

Lifefactory bottles are one of those things that I've wanted to get for myself, but just can't click the checkout button on my virtual shopping cart. They're a little bit of a splurge for me, but I've heard nothing but good things about them!

These reusable water bottles are made of high quality soda lime glass and wrapped in a protective silicone sleeve. The sleeve makes the bottle easier to grip, and also acts as a barrier that can help prevent it from breaking if it were to be dropped. Lifefactory bottles are BPA/BPS-free, dishwasher safe, and come in a variety of sizes and colors. They also make really cool wine glasses! :)

It's great for new moms to keep a water bottle to help them remember to stay hydrated. I remember when my son was born, I would sit down to nurse him and realize I forgot to get a glass of water for myself every. single. time. Having a really cute and travel friendly bottle may have given me more incentive to keep it close by!

Teething Jewerly

When my youngest was born, I put all my good jewerly away. I can remember those moments of panic with my older children when they would grab ahold of my necklace. I would try to carefully pry it from their grip, hoping it wouldn't break in the process! Not only could I end up with a broken necklace, any charms or pendants could pose as a choking hazard...

Enter Chewbeads. This brand of teething jewelry is designed for mamas to wear and to be safe for their babies to chew and tug on, all while looking very stylish and chic!

Chewbeads are made from soft, safe silicone, and come in many beautiful colors and styles of necklaces and bracelets. They're great for teething babies to gum on, and also help keep a distracted nurser's attention! The perfect gift for any mama with a teething and/or nursing babe.

Mama Body Care

Every mama loves to be pampered... but doing so is usually one of the last things on our to do list! For the new or expectant mama, Earth Mama Angel Baby products are a great choice! They're made with all natural and organic ingredients, and work wonderfully! Their line includes lotions, soaps, oils, ointments, and an assortment of teas that help support the journey from pregnancy through postparum, breastfeeding, baby care, and beyond.

gifts for mom

Speaking of breastfeeding, Mama's Milkies cookie and oatmeal mixes are a thoughtful gift to give a nursing mother! These mixes have ingredients to help support lactaction, while also providing mama with a tasty treat!

For a mom with a baby or small child, a carrier makes a wonderful gift! Carriers allow for mom and baby to be close and also free up mama's hands so she can get things done. Not only that, they can also be quite stylish, making them a great fashion accessory. Sakura Bloom slings are a perfect example. These carriers are  beautifully made from the finest Belgium linens and Duponi silks in a gorgeous array of colors. They're great for newborns on up through the toddler years, are easy to use, and easy to tuck away in your bag when not in use.
