It’s getting to be that time of year! The temperatures are starting to rise and many of us will be looking for ways to cool off, whether it be taking a dip in the pool, hitting the beach, wading in the creek, or playing in the garden hose! If you have a baby in diapers you need to think about how you are going to hold in any potential messes. It’s time to start thinking about swim diapers!
There’s no need to throw your money away on packs of disposable swim diapers. Whether or not you use cloth diapers, it’s a good idea to invest in a reusable swim diaper!
The look of disposable swim diapers leaves much to be desired… Typically you only get one choice of print per brand. Reusable swim diapers are available in an array of different colors and prints, so you can find the one that best suits your tot!
Contain mess better
Swim diapers, both disposable AND reusable, are only meant to hold in solid waste, not to be absorbent. Most reusable swim diapers have nice, strong elastic at the legs and waist to help hold in any potential messes. Unlike disposable swim diapers, reusable swim diapers are more customizable when it comes to getting a good fit. Many have adjustable snaps or a hook and loop panel at the waist so you can find the perfect fit for your baby.
Easy on, Easy off
Many reusable swim diapers are available in hook in loop or snaps. This can make putting on and taking off the diaper much easier, especially if you’re cleaning up a mess. Disposable swim diapers are typically pull up style, which can make that task a bit more difficult.
Resuable swim diapers are made from soft fabric with special care taken to choose materials that will not rub agains baby’s skin and cause chaffing, while disposables are made from crinkly paper… I know which I would rather wear!
When using disposable swim diapers, your essentially throwing away money with every change. With cloth swim diapers, you don't have to worry about running out! Just wash and reuse! Then, once baby no longer needs to wear a swim diaper, you can save it for the next baby or resell it!
We’re giving away a Bummis Swimmi to one lucky reader in the print of their choice! Enter via the rafflecopter below. This giveaway will ship anywhere in the United States. Good luck!
