Yesterday my husband and I loaded the kids up in the van and took a little road trip down to beautiful Bloomington, Indiana for the 'GroVia Road Trips It to The Green Nursery' event. We're not local, so it's a little bit of a drive for us (about an hour and a half) but this was definitely an event I didn't want to miss!

We got there a little bit before the store opened so I could listen in on some GroVia Staff Training presented by GroVia's very own, Holly. I have emailed back and forth with Holly a few times in the past for social media campaigns, so it was really nice to meet her in person! She shared a couple GroVia tricks of the trade and answered questions some of the staff had. If you have any GroVia questions, TGN Staff members are definitely your go-to people. :)

It was nice to get to catch up with Abby a little bit beforehand, and say hi to the staff since I only get to communicate with them through my computer screen. I met a couple new staff members who were very sweet, and seem like really great additions to the TGN Team. I also met Jessica Quirk from the style blog 'What I Wore', along with her absolutely adorable son Felix. And can I say, 'what she wore' was pretty fabulous. She is one stylish mama! I think I'm definitely going to have to follow her blog a little closer so maybe a little bit of her style can rub off on me. ;) I have zero fashion sense!

Before we knew it, it was noon and time to get the party started! When the doors opened, there was a mad dash of people grabbing TGN goods and getting in line for the register so they could get one of the free limited edition Adventure GroVia Wet Bags with $15 purchase (not sold in stores, just specially made for the Road Trip events). The line was getting pretty long, so I picked up a Hape Toys Sand Castle Mold and grabbed a spot. It was only $2.99, but since the line was winding through the store aisles, I knew that I wouldn't have a problem finding more things to grab before it was time to get rung up.

While in line, I met a super sweet mama, Alyssa. She is one of the ladies who took the initiative and put together this year's Great Cloth Diaper Change in Bloomington since TGN was unable to host this time around. It was very nice to meet her and chatting with her made the wait in line much more enjoyable!

I ended up picking up another couple of sand molds for the kids, and a Lifefactory Water Bottle, something I've wanted to try out for like... ever! Thankfully, I was lucky enough to be one of the first 50 to score an Adventure wet bag. My little guy is out of diapers, which means my diaper buying days are over and I was only able to enjoy GroVia adorable new prints from afar. But a wet bag, I can use! They come in handy for much more than storing cloth diapers!

While I was getting my shopping done and trying to score a wet bag, my husband and kids we're keeping themselves busy. My youngest really enjoyed TGN's play space. It was so cute seeing him sit at the little table, pretending to stir and drink his tea! There were lots of other fun toys for the kids to play with, including the Hape Toys SwitchBack Race Track- which is much cooler in person! Definitely something I'm considering getting for him for his upcoming birthday.

Then my kids hit up Bea's Soda Bar for some yummy and totally adorable camper cookies. After they scarfed those down, they headed off to the GroVia Tattoo parlor to get some GroVia ink. They loved their tattoos so much that they were repeat customers, again... and again... and again. :) They had so much fun and we're really proud to sport those adorable new GroVia prints.

Before we left, we had to stop by the Road Trip Photobooth to commemorate our trip. I couldn't manage to wrangle my older boys and husband (getting everyone together for a photo is not the easiest thing to do with a family of six!) but my daughter and youngest little one were up for it. Looks like we held our speech bubbles the wrong way, but I still love the photo that Abby got for us! :)

Then it was time to say our goodbyes and head back home. I managed to get a photo of my youngest showing off our TGN Haul and his GroVia tattoos before he was off to the sandbox to try out his new sand molds. I was excited to try out my new Lifefactory Water Bottle, which I'm really loving so far! I'm so glad I finally took the plunge and got one. My husband gave me a real skeptical look when I picked it up at the shop, but after he saw me using it at home he changed his tune. He even mentioned that he could really use one for while he's at work. Lucky for him, Father's Day is coming up and there was a gray one with his name written all over it. :)

What I love about TGN, is that although my son is out of diapers, we still came home with some really great stuff! They do have an amazing selection of cloth diapers, but that's not all you'll find at TGN... they have also have lots of cool eco-friendly toys, carriers, personal care products, and much more! If your ever near Bloomington, Indiana you should definitely stop by the shop and check it out. And if you're not, visit them online and take advantage of their amazing rewards program and super fast shipping!

I'm so glad we decided to make the drive down to Bloomington for the GroVia Road Trip event! It was a great time, and I got to meet and catch up with some really great people. Like all of TGN's events, it was definitely road trip worthy!!
