softbums infant

Since we fairly recently started carrying SoftBums, we asked expectant parents Brooke and Paul to write a review of the Omni on their brand new newborn.  They cloth diapered right from the birth of their son, Breukelen, and were able to try out the Omni right away.

Here's what Brooke and Paul had to say:

Overall, we really like this diaper. It is absorbent and good for overnights. The mini pod is a great size for stuffing the pocket for a newborn. The leg gussets with drawstrings allow you to create snug fit around little newborn legs with no leaking out the sides. Additionally, there are really cute cover patterns for these diapers.

A few small drawbacks to the Omni: The rise was too high for our newborn until his cord stump fell off. We were able to start using this diaper once he was 3 weeks old. The leg gusset is the only way to adjust sizing; there are no rise snaps for size adjustment. We found the pocket a little hard to stuff, but as baby grows, we won’t necessarily need to stuff the pocket to use this diaper, which is part of the versatility of this one-size diaper.

Have any of you readers used SoftBums on your newborn? How did it go?
