Quick Overview

The Lil Joeys make a great addition to any newborn stash. The Lil•Joey will fit your preemie or multiples starting at 4 lbs. Although the Rumparooz One Size Diaper will fit a newborn at 6 lbs, other one size diaper brands do not start fitting until closer to 10-12 lbs, that is about 2 mo. The Lil Joey will fill the diaper gap so that your precious newborn does not have to spend one day in a disposable diaper with chemicals against their precious porcelain skin.

Product Description

Lil Joey Newborn AIO's - 2 Packs

Kanga Care brand cloth diapers are the ONLY cloth diapers on the market that have been uniquely designed to contain the messiest of messes. The inside of each diaper is designed with 2 gentle internal gussets that channel each leg. No chance of escape for even the messiest or messes! Keep that cute outfit clean!

The Lil Joey is an AIO (all in one diaper) with a sewn in soaker, no pocket. This specialty diaper was designed to fill the gap between a newborn size and other brands of one size diapers. The Lil Joey fits babies 4-12 lbs. The Rumparooz One Size Diaper will fit a newborn starting at 6 lbs, but other brands of one size diapers will not fit until 10-12 lbs. The Lil Joey has a snap down center for easy umbilical care and comfort. The Lil Joey is a 2 size or "grow with me" diaper as it has shorter rise setting in the snapped down position and then higher rise settings in the unsnapped position.

Lil Joey Biodegradability:

The waterproof material Kanga Care uses on the Rumparooz, Lil Joey (and any other waterproof products) is TPU, not PUL. PUL is a polyester fabric that has been laminated with a poly-urethane laminate using a solvent and chemical process. This process off-gases harmful toxic fumes that destroy the building that the fabric is produced in. In 2008 Kanga Care started using a biodegradable TPU waterproof material. Biodegradable TPU is solvent-free. Biodegradable TPU is a polyester fabric that has been laminated with a thermoplastic polyurethane using a heat bonding process. This process is low in toxicity and is better for the natural environment. Both the TPU laminate and the polyester fabric the laminate is applied to are biodegradable. When composted they will biodegrade in 4-5 years.

5 star diaper

Highly recommend for any mama considering cloth diapering! This was my first time trying it and these are SO easy! My son was born 7 lbs and these were the perfect size (the OS Rumparooz and Grovias were way too big!), in fact he is now 11 lbs at 2 months old and still wearing them!

Best diaper for newborns

I love these diapers for newborns. They are cute, absorbent and the pull down tab for the belly button is so handy. When I first came into cloth diapering I was really nervous about the belly button, and once I saw these I stocked up and have loved them ever since!

excellent for newborns!

This cloth diaper is extremely soft, perfect for cloth diapering your newborn. The fact that the diaper thinks of the umbilical cord is awesome! The gussets put my mind at ease too!

Not worth the money

I would not buy these at full price. They are not tiny enough for "lil babies" I had twins at 5lb 10oz and 5lb 12oz. I had to wait till 3 weeks for them to even fit them bulkily. They work fine for only about 7-9 lbs.Sorry but for having to button them inside out when washing, (poo stays in the gussets, they DO work well) and how little wear they will get, they are not a wise use of cash. I still love the idea of them and the whole product line but these were my biggest "well shoot" moment.

Perfect for our tiny little dude

Our son was 6 pounds when he was born and was way too tiny for all of the newborn covers/ prefolds that we had bought for him. We knew we were going to eventually have more children, so we invested in a Lil Joey stash and loved them! They fit my tiny son perfectly, washed easily, and I loved the snap down for the umbilical cord.

Hands Down Fave Newborn Diaper!

We LOVED our Lil Joeys! I had several newborn fitteds and preflats, in addition to 7 of these. I, by far, preferred these diapers over the others. The fit was fantastic and we never had an EBF blow-out in them. My son was born at 8 lbs. 1 oz., but was able to wear these for 7 weeks. He still had plenty of room in them, but had outgrown the absorbency. We will be purchasing more of these for future babies.

A con is that they seemed to take quite awhile to dry.

Awesome for newborn poo!

We used these and prefolds + covers when our son was a newborn. I preferred these over the prefolds because they were able to contain newborn poo much better than our prefolds.

Excellent for a premie or under 8 lb baby!

We purchased the Grovia diapers for our baby but I also purchased a set of these Lil Joey's because I had a feeling she was going to come early and I wanted a cloth diaper that would fit her if she wasn't a full 8 pounds upon birth. Thank God we did because she came at 37 weeks and was 6 lbs at birth. We ended up purchasing 2 more packs for a total of 6 Lil Joey's just to get us through until she gained the weight to fit into the Grovia's that start at 8 lbs. We felt find making this purchase even though these diapers only last through 12 lbs because we knew we would use them again for our other children and I just couldn't do the disposables in the meantime.
I would recommend these Lil Joey's also for their absorbency (great for both day and night). They have a great gusset system inside so that nothing comes out the legs and everything stays contained.
They are also really great because they fold down in the front for the umbilical cord which is perfect since a lot of the other diapers don't offer this.
We would highly recommend the Lil Joey's!
