What is THCA? THCA, or tetrahydrocannabinolic acid, is a non-psychoactive (when consumed raw) compound found in raw cannabis plants. It is the precursor to THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol, which is the psychoactive compound that produces the high associated with marijuana. Smoking or decarbing THCA will convert to regular THC.
