What's going on with the damn Postal Service?

Everybody's packages are late, including that gift you sent to your kids, your sister, or your parents. So what exactly happened?

This year the USPS was hit hard with staff shortages from the Covid pandemic. RE: "USPS is experiencing unprecedented volume increases and limited employee availability due to the impacts of COVID-19. We appreciate your patience and remain committed to delivering the holidays to you."

Additionally, Louis DeJoy's appointment as the new postmaster general has caused complete chaos. Regardless of your political position, I can say with complete confidence that all the new problems of slow and lost mail started precisely at the moment this dillweed started. The very Monday he took over we had an entire tub of shipments lost for nearly two months and sporadic problems ever since.

So why does The Green Nursery continue to use the USPS as its shipping provider? A couple of reasons.

1. Hemp Flower is legal to be shipped through the USPS, and currently this is the only carrier that allows it.

2. Cost. As we ship most parcels First Class and Priority Mail, we are able to afford to keep our free shipping threshold low for all or customers.

3. Currently our cart doesn't allow to show certain shipping methods for certain products and not others. So this means we can't offer FedEx for cbd oil and restrict it for hemp flower.

In conclusion, we are hopeful that with the election mail and holiday mail being mostly in the rearview mirror we will start to see some freed up some bandwidth and packages flowing at a more regular speed VERY soon.
